About Patrick Rumsey, Owner
Patrick has been in the landscaping industry since 2005. He took an interest in landscaping early on while working part-time in high school and began taking classes at the Bonds Career Center to learn more. After graduating high school, he worked for Poinsett Landscaping, a well-known landscape company in the Upstate Region. He gained experience in many different aspects of the industry, including landscape and irrigation installs, maintenance, and chemical treatments. He also took night classes at Spartanburg Community College, further enhancing his skills and knowledge of horticulture.
He soon developed a strong passion for the landscaping industry and started Southern Lawn & Landscape LLC in 2008. As he worked in the afternoons and on weekends, the company began to take off. It didn't take long for Patrick’s customers to begin to tell their friends about our quality of work and dedication. Southern Lawn was primarily a landscape maintenance company when it began, but quickly evolved into a full-service landscape company, offering services in all areas of landscape construction.
Patrick has a wife, Christina, and twins, Lucas and Adelyn, born in the spring of 2018. The twins keep him busy in his off time, but he also enjoys fishing and golfing when he has the time.
